GRASS BEING MOWED FOLLWING THE RAINS

The Foundation’s  first project began in 2017 with Sacred Heart School. Sacred Heart School was established over sixty years ago by Catholic Missionaries and His Royal Highness, Eze Cyprian Ahaneku, late traditional ruler of Ifakala Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli  in Imo State, Nigeria. The school was decimated by a storm in 2016.

Sacred Heart School was hit by a major storm in the community on May 4, 2016. Its strong winds ripped the roof off the building and damaged windows and doors. A second storm hit the school again causing more damage to the already damaged buildings. Following these unfortunate events teachers and pupils have been holding classes in a make-shift part of an adjacent church under construction. ECAF has committed to rebuilding the school jointly with the community by raising money and provision of necessary educational materials.

Rebuilding of Sacred Heart School

ECAF started raising money in 2017 in a joint effort with Nkalu community to rebuild the damaged school. Funds are being raised through direct appeals to friends of ECAF, shredding events and appeals to corporate and institutional organizations for funds and educational resources.
